Armenian Ant-Doping Organization (ARMNADO) was established on February 1, 2009. Since February 2009 the ARMNADO has been running its activities within the Anti-Doping Department of Sport Medicine and Anti-Doping Service Republican Centre. On March 9, 2009 WADA confirmed that ARMNADO has successfully incorporated all the mandatory articles of the World Anti-Doping Code into the ARMNADO Anti-Doping Rule. Further, we approved ARMNADO Anti-Doping Rule on March 15, 2009 which was ratified by the President of Armenian National Olympic Committee on September 22, 2009.

Since 2009 ARMNADO has conducted more than 200 in-competitions testing of the athletes from 60 counters, including Juniors World Championship May 22-30, 2009, Judo European Juniors Championship September 13, 2009 and Wrestling World Cup February 14, 2010. We have also organized more than 90 out-of-competition testings annually.

The ARMNADO prioritizes the creation of a national anti-doping educational program for Armenia aimed at prevention and the fighting against doping in sport with a view to its elimination.

At its regular session on April 16, 2010, the Committee of the Fund for the Elimination of Doping in Sport, UNESCO, selected ARMNADO as a winner of Armenian Educational Program for 2010-2011 and granted the Republican Center of Sports Medicine and Anti-Doping Service for the development of a national educational program to combat doping in sport and its implementation in the Republic of Armenia.
